About the artist.

I am Ian McCombes, also known as Hunkafunk.

I’ve been telling stories with artwork longer than I can remember.

I am an illustrator and storyteller who believes that imagination should feel both ancient and brand new. My work blends folklore, humour, and visual storytelling. I build worlds full of mythical creatures, strange beauty, sharp wit, and ideas that appear at midnight and refuse to leave.

I draw. I paint. I write. I explore old stories and invent new ones. Everything you see here is crafted with intention and a love for detail.
